Things to do before starting to look at houses
- Check your credit score and sit down with a lender (we have a list of preferred lenders if you need help finding one)
- Get pre-qualified, or better yet, pre-approved!
- Decide what price range you are content with. Often a lender will let you borrow more than you are comfortable paying every month.
- Find a real estate agent that fits with your personality. Work with someone you are confident with and who can explain the process well to you.
- Talk to your agent about the area, price range and features you want in your home.
